About the "Renar" film:

The film is about the Sami people and their reindeers from spring through autumn. You will see the moving of the herds in the snow during March/April, the marking of the reindeer calves in June and the private slaugther in September. The film is shot in Swedish Lapland about 90 kms south of the Polar Circle. After finishing the "Renar" film in 2009 I asked the opinion of some Sami friends. They suggested to bring it on the market in Lapland. Roos designed a nice cover for the DVD box (see below). Caprice Records in Stockholm gave the permission to use the songs of Sami singer Sofia Jannok, which perfectly match the images.
